No Democrat has even tried to provide an answer why, in a time when we are tearing down or canceling anything with a hint of racism or slavery in its past, we shouldn't cancel the political party that was built for protecting the institution of slavery and then perpetuating racism through the KKK and Jim Crow. Has any real journalist even tried to ask the question?

Barack loved to apologize on behalf of America for just about everything. Why won't anyone apologize on behalf of the Democratic Party for its awful past?

The Russell Senate Office Building was named in 1972 after Richard Russell, D-GA.

Russell was governor of Georgia before spending 40 years in the Senate. He was a virulent and open racist. He opposed the civil rights movement, and supported racial segregation. With Strom Thurmond, he co-authored the Southern Manifesto, which was meant to counter the Brown v Board of Education case which ruled school segregation unconstitutional. After Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law (which he admitted he didn't want to do) Russell led a boycott of the 1964 Democrat convention.

There are plenty of senators who will take credit for proposing a new name for the building, but not one will admit to having supported naming it after Russell. Hmmm.

Now that is a bill that I can really get behind!!!

Be sure to call them the Democratic Party instead of the Democrat Party because it makes them sound better.

I'd call them:

Friends United for Communism / Komrades Embracing Radical Socialism.
