For me a great big YEA

I know here are lots of naysayers but when I can order something and have it delivered the very next day and free shipping, it's worth it.

Just found some swim trunks for a good price that will be at my house tomorrow, otherwise I'm driving all the way to Kohls and hoping they have my size. With my Amazon order if they don't fit, I take them to a UPS Store right nearby and return them.

They keep locking up more and more stuff at my local Walmart each time I go which is helping the case for Amazon even more. There's no way I'm waiting 10+ minutes or more for some idiot to come and figure out how to unlock a case all because they can't figure out how to stop from getting robbed blind.

What say you?

Mostly yea

I needed a CPAP mask piece before a business trip. DME supplier wants 10 days to process and deliver, CPAP.com needed 3 days, and Amazon was next day. Best price of all too.

I wish they'd make it easier to buy "made in USA" with a filter tab.

I live in a town of around 4000 souls, an hour’s drive from the nearest Walmart. No store in my town sells shoes or boots my size (14), and the only stores (Tractor Supply and another feed store) that sell clothes that sorta fit a 3XL Tall man have damn little to choose from. As a consequence, I (and most of the other denizens of Jerkwater) do a hella lot of business with Amazon. So, I’m in the “yea” camp.

We do a lot of business with Amazon because of the convenience.

Prices are mostly reasonable and shopping is pretty easy in fron of my deskstop-a few ckicks and whatever I ordered is there that day or the next, usually.

All I need is Amazon and Costco to sustain my life. Maybe toss in Brownells as a 3rd vendor and I'm GTG.

Returns have been easy for me when needed.
Used to be a UPS store now drop off at Staples.
May vary by location, but easy the few times I've needed it.

I often see product reviews of items I wouldn't normally know where to purchase locally.
Just a quick click on their link to amazon and I'm good to go in a matter of days.

I use Amazon, primarily for the product availability and quick/free delivery, but if I can get the exact same thing elsewhere for the same price w/ free shipping and similar (two day?) lead time, I'll definitely get if from that source. Honestly, if it's not critical and I can wait a few extra days, I'll still buy it elsewhere if I can.

Regarding Kohls though, I absolutely LOATHE that store! The ONLY reason I ever even step foot in there is to drop off an Amazon return!

Depends (no, not those).
Some things are more expensive but I've also found items that are much less than other places, so you have to do a search to really know what's the best deal.
For inexpensive odds and ends it's so easy to use Amazon and since I have Prime there's no extra shipping.

Mostly yea.

But the 2 day shipping is mostly a guideline now days and the amount of really crappy merchandise has increased a bunch. So you have to be discerning when making purchases

Put me in the Yea column, we're near a very good Walmart but shopping from home is so much easier for me. My wife is a shopper and does go to Walmart and Costco but that's mostly food related.

I buy stuff from Amazon several times per week; from OTC medications to trash bags, bicycle tires and tubes, tractor tires, radio gear, etc.

I just checked and I've placed 36 orders just since January of this year, so yeah, a big "thumbs up" from me! Their batteries are great also and have now replaced name-brand batteries.

Love me some Amazon. A few small issues here and there and they were resolved with great customer service.

Huge number of options to choose from in pretty much every product category, reasonable delivery times (I didn't say "fast," but sometimes), no need to go out in the rain or deal with mouth-breather clerks, the dog digs our usual delivery lady...yeah, I'm in the pro-zon camp.

It's a Yes for me. UNLESS I need it right now to finish a DIY project. Then it's a trip to the big box store to get whatever it is I need.
