Judicial immunity needs to go away. When these judges begin being held accountable, this will stop.

It was the Commonwealth's Attorney for Fairfax County, Steve Descano. He was sworn in in January 2020. On the FCCA website, he self-describes:

quote:
Since taking office, Steve has undertaken a reform agenda aimed at mitigating racial and socioeconomic disparities and countering mass incarceration in Fairfax County’s Justice System - while keeping our communities safe.

Safe?

When he let this murderous illegal scum (also accused a first degree murder previously, but not prosecuted) out of custody OVER the objections of the Fairfax County Police and Sheriff's Departments and ICE?

Safe?

Best thing I ever did was escape from that county.

I am anxiously awaiting that day.

The ‘government’ is failing in their duty so it’s permissible for the people to step in and do it for them.

Time to make most politicians irrelevant.

Descano (Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney) and Kincaid (Fairfax Sheriff) are leftist PoS's. They are backed up by a county board of supervisors that are overwhelmingly Democrat (there is only one Republican on the board). The policies that enable this kind of outrage are intentional and desired by these traitors for reasons I cannot fathom. Just hating our country and its form of government is not enough to explain this deviant thinking. I can only forlornly hope that this incident, and several other recent ones like it, open enough people's eyes that they are motivated to change things.

Back in the early 1980's, I sought to start my career, and a family in Fairfax County. I loved it there, and my family and I grew and prospered. Lived there for nearly 40 years.

About 2 years ago, I moved out. Fairfax, and neighboring Loudoun counties are no longer recognizable, and I could not live there anymore.

It's sad.

We have a site in Herndon that I used to go to 2x a year on average until Covid when it became more a virtual thing. I did have to travel there recently again and was SHOCKED at how built up the entire area got in just a few years. It's all condos, townhouses, grim gray data centers and Amazon warehouses crammed into every available square inch.

I agree PASig, but that by itself is not why I left. For me it's the politics. As mentioned above, Fairfax and Loudoun counties have local governments that are completely dominated by far-left democrats. There are no checks and balances. Property taxes have soared. The school curriculums are very left wing. Criminals are caught and released. I see the trend continuing. It keeps getting worse. I had to put my kids in private school because of the crap going on in the schools - and it was a teacher at the local school that recommended this!

It is all about shooing in the Soros funded socialist government. Those pushing these agendas expect to be high up in the new government, where they can abuse their power. They will be repaid for their servitude with gravy jobs, they believe.

Nobody with an ounce of brains would ever be a judge. Or, judges would all be from the bottom 10% of their respective law schools.

That’s all I needed to hear.
Another progressive liberal communist that wants to destroy America.

Fuck him and his Ilk.
And I agree, Immunity for Judges and States / District Attorneys needs to be revamped, and quickly.
It would put an abrupt end to a lot of the bullshit.

I know it’s not gonna happen, it’s a pipe dream. But it’s nice to wish.

People also need to get out and vote.
Apathy is causing a lot of this problem as well.
What was the percentage of people that voted in the county election?

Descano has survived multiple recall efforts in the past few years, and has not had a viable election opponent for as long as I can remember. I can only hope that this incident wakes up those who have previously ignored his despicable record of profound incompetence and willful disregard for the rule of law. Instead of a recall, I'll suggest that an old-fashioned tar and feathering would be more appropriate.

I have not yet seen the name of the free-range criminal's most recent victim, but based on the neighborhood in which this occurred, it is not unlikely that he was a prominent member of the community.

From the Bronx, another case where a lunatic judge releases on OWN RECOGNIZANCE, Christopher Joseph who stabbed a woman 22 times with a kitchen knife. Joseph was arrested on March 23 and charged with 13 criminal counts, including attempted murder, attempted assault, and criminal possession of a weapon charges, among others. Judge Darlene R. Goldberg released Joseph on his own recognizance, with no bail, on Dec. 10. The Bronx District Attorney's Office told News 12 they wanted cash bail set at $1M. They were overruled.

What the ever living Hell is going on? Are these judges convinced there are no repercussions that will attach to them?

Don’t take this comment the wrong way, but what exactly are the Judge’s repercussions?
What’s going to happen to him?

What happened to the Judge that let the bad guy go yesterday?
What happened to the Judge the day before that?
Last week?
The week before that?

My point exactly:
Nothing.
Not a damn thing.

So tomorrow, a progressive liberal Judge is going to do the same thing, because not a damn thing is going to happen to them.

Until people start waking the fuck up and not voting for these clowns, and voting them OUT, they can and obviously will, do whatever they want.

Then there’s the whole “Tar and Feather” option. Wink

I see it all the time. I’ve got front row seats to this circus.

Or maybe the DA is full of it:
“Editor’s note:
Following the publication of this article, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office reports during the December 10th court appearance, Judge Darlene Goldberg ordered Christopher Joseph released on his own recognizance, without bail, due to the D.A.’s failure to make a key deadline to set bail .”
