SigForum was awesome enough to alert me the Father's Day Rybobi sale last year at Home Depot. I picked up two 4 AMP batteries for $99 and then got a deal on a tool. I just got an email from Home Depot and there is a sale again. Not quite as good as the Father's Day sale, but one thing did catch my eye; https://www.homedepot.com/p/RY...-Pack-P164/305571990 Two 6 AMP batteries for $139. I'm not sure I even knew these existed, but seems like a good deal. I was planning to get two more 4 AMP batteries in June, but I might have to go pick up a set of these instead.

Man I wanted to hate this battery system but I was wrong. My FIL gave me an old set of battery powered tools that take these batteries so I bought a set of batteries last Black Friday and got a free leaf blower. I don’t have many leaves but it has worked great for blowing out my garage and blowing dirt and grass off the driveway and sidewalks. Last week I bought a grass trimmer and was not expecting much when I fired it up. It just didn’t sound right compared to my old Stihl. Boy it sure cuts some grass though. I’m surprised at the power you can get out of these batteries. Thanks for the heads up because I want to slowly add tools and upgrade what I already have.

I've had their upper tier brushless string trimmer for a couple years now, and have been very impressed with it. Cuts better than my old Echo gas trimmer, and is much lower maintenance.

I have, for many years, used a Poulan Pro gas trimmer head with many Ryobi "Expand-It!" accessory tools such as a hedge trimmer, sidewalk edger, etc. This fetched up hard when my latest Expand-It acquisition (brush cutter) failed to attach to the Poulan. As a result, I became interested in substituting the Ryobi cordless electric power head on this system. Upon researching this, it turns out that the Ryobi One+ line of 18v tools is not Expand-It! compatible. You have to go to their 40v line to get this capability, so buyer be cautious if this is the route you are looking to take.

I got a 9Ah battery for my shop vac. It is huge and expensive, but well worth the price for not having to worry about it needing a charge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We are more concerned with American Idol than we are with American Security and freedom..."
