I'd buy an extreme long distance rifle range with room for a house.

An attractive 40 something live in maid, that understands and applies the word discretion. Big Grin

But seriously…
We have been blessed, I would probably buy homes and cars for those in my wife's
family who have had lifelong struggles with finances. Even the one who don’t deserve it. I would love to give them a fresh start on life and see what they did with it.

Then I would put a real estate agent on retainer and have them buy up every single piece of property that becomes available within a 5 mile radius of my house.

For starters…

Just want to move to my rural land and finish my metal buildings, etc. Everything I have planned already.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Experiences. We do meet the definition you've given of having enough to live comfortably without worry. I neither want nor need more stuff. We are spending on travel for our own enjoyment, as well as providing travel experiences for the kids and grandkids.

Giving money to the kids judiciously is helpful to them, but too much is counterproductive. That can be a difficult line to determine.

We support several charities that have personal meaning to us, as well as patronizing local businesses rather than large corporate businesses even though it may cost a bit more.

Hmmm. Well, probably first go find more acreage, more woods, build our dream home, with a nice heated barn/ garage to tinker in. A nice shooting range to plink on, an underground shelter included. Then, probably help people we know are struggling and could use a hand up, pay off some bills for them, etc. definitely quit work, we’re both tired of the rat race. Probably quit work first, once the money was acquired and go from there. Would be able to relax and take our time figuring out the rest. Right now, the dream is to be able to retire safely.

I'd get an Earthroamer and travel the U.S. Go to all Revolutionary War and the Civil War battlefields. Just take in the scenery....

I would improve everything in my small town, new high school, animal shelter, outfit the PD and FD with the latest gear, repair houses that are in disrepair for veterans and Sr citizens. Donate big to the local churches. Then I would build a house somewhere that I can snowbird and avoid the winter.

Maybe I will buy a lottery ticket.

I would like to walk into B&H Photo and purchase everything that interests me. Such as the new Hasselblad X2D II and a full set of lenses.

I've stopped counting.

My answer to this remains the same:

I'd buy the biggest compound the money would support. I'd hire some veterinary and support staff and have the biggest free-range shelter anywhere.

Every unwanted, unloved dog would be welcome to stay there forever or to be adopted by well-screened applicants. I'd even extend that to many other animals.

My only job would be to manage the whole operation and to love dogs.

The one thing that would simplify my life would be an aircraft with a 1,500 nonstop range, 400 knots, and 3,000 pounds of usable payload after fuel and pilot. My wife would want a bathroom and the ability to stand up.
