Youngest will soon be living alone as her son and his girlfriend close on their house hopefully tomorrow.
She hunts and fishes (I tease her she's the son I never had...) and is very competent with rifles but has limited experience with handguns.
She wanted to buy a Ruger LCP but I recommended against it because it's so light and tiny. I said I'd give her my Walther PP. Bigger, heavier, less recoil.
She came down today and I took her through the manual of arms with it and had her fire a couple of magazines from 7 yards.
That target includes 3 rounds from hammer down to introduce her to the atrocious trigger pull.
I think she's good to go.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Nice gift Paul. My daughter graduated college in 2003 and for her graduation gift she asked for a hand gun. After handling many, and shooting a few different ones, she decided on a Walther P99.
