I just read that he died at 83. I remember him from the 6 Million Dollar Man, Battle Beyond the Stars and of course Enter the Dragon. He was in quite a few things over the years.

Omigosh. That's Number 3.

His favorite story was how he was constantly asked what it was like to work with Bruce Lee.

rip, Roper.

Not universally loved, but he and Brando were in The Appaloosa together, and I liked it.

200 roles over 50 years. I remember him as a young actor, when I was a lot younger myself.

A lot of actors dying. Makes me wonder --I'm 82 and they're dying around my age.

I've seen a ton of his moves and enjoyed watching him But I never thought of him as a great actor. He was just John Saxon.

There's 1 movie where he's a mexican and I didn't realize it was him until half way through. There's another where he's on another planet and uses an unloaded gun to scare the natives- They'd never seen a gun and it didn't scare them.

Big Grin

If you watch the ancient tv channels , Like I do,
it's not uncommon to see John S.
3 -5 times a day
on different show's.

if we played Six degrees of John Saxon ,
(instead of Kevin Bacon)

I doubt that anyone would be left out

What got me was reading that he died here in Murfreesboro, TN. I have lived in Murfreesboro for nearly 23 years and no idea he was here. He apparently lived under the radar.
