New Falcons coach LaTroy Lewis fired hours after disturbing rape, assault accusations By Michael Blinn Published Feb. 27, 2026
Hours after an accusation of violence made against newly hired Falcons coach LaTroy Lewis was made public Friday, Atlanta dismissed its assistant defensive line coach.
Reporter Justin Spiro detailed the allegations against Lewis, who was hired by the Falcons on Feb. 10, stemming from his time as an assistant coach at Michigan from 2023-24.
A woman alleges Lewis, 32, raped and attacked her in separate incidents, according to Spiro, who reported he sent her graphic messages “commanding her to perform various sexual acts on him.”
It doesn't make the accusations any less heinous, but I had to look up that he was a newly hire assistant defensive line coach. Pretty low on the totem pole, all the articles seem to insinuate he was "the coach" or head coach. The rot runs pretty deep at U of M, like Marianas Trench deep...NCAA be like "nothing you see here, move along."

The NY Post's title was misleading but that fact was in the very first sentence of the article the OP posted.
