Lord VaalicMy wife went through this a couple years ago. Her thyroid was removed, she had the radiation, etc. She is doing well now.
There is a lot of information out there, some good, some not so good. If you want to drop me an email and I can share our experience. Yes it's scary as hell. But it can be OK in the end.

adorThanks for the support and prayers. I’m 30 mins away from the end of my shift. One side of me is hoping that my wife is asleep so she can get good night rest and I don’t have to tell her tonight. The other part of me is hoping that she is awake so we can sit down and talk. I really don’t know. I guess I am still in shock.

With all that knowledge, you know about the side effects and fine details some in the medical profession might gloss over when delivering the news to someone newly diagnosed with cancer.
You’re justifiably frightened, and brave enough to admit it.
Telling your wife will strengthen you, and make you even braver - because then you will have a partner to square off to this disease together.
Your whole family is in my prayers.
