PHPaulMidterm Elections I Voted Check In Here (2018 Senate-Rep, House-Dem)
Mrs. PHPaul, B-i-L and I voted at 9:00 this morning. No line, but there was only one booth open when I picked up my ballots.
Should be interesting in Maine. 8 years of a Republican governor to replace. Pretty sure Bruce Poliquin is a shoo-in for re-election, and also...unfortunately...so is that weasel Angus King. His opponent is a Republican, but very little name recognition and a pretty lack-luster campaign.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Goddamn right.
Voted this morning, first time in my life I was checked for I.D. at a poll. Texas is great. 3 minute wait. Two page paper "fill in the box" ballot, then scanned into a copy-machine type of device. Received some free mints and a bottle of water.

ShifferbrainsWill be voting straight red ticket when I get home. I will either not vote for the tickets that have both Commies, or if I can write in someone, I’m writing in Shifferbrains.

Jim ShugartI just got back and in ~25 years of voting here have never seen so large a turnout. Lots of old fuckers like me and few millennials. There just might be a sizeable red wave.

I did my part last week. No waiting, straight ticket. (Not that I'm thrilled with Repubs, but at least they're not a pack of God Damned Commies.)

flashguyJust got back from the polls. No line there, check-in was quick (showed DL and registration form, signed the register and was given a ballot). Took a few minutes to fill in all the little ovals with the Sharpie. Put the ballot into the machine that counted and stored it. I was voter number 249 at 1100 hours.

That gives me the warm and fuzzies, hopefully it turns out in our favor here in this once great state

Wife and I voted at about 9 this morning and our precinct seemed to have more turn out than usual. The number of people that voted before us was about 2 times greater than the last 3 election cycles, so that's gotta mean something....

Now THIS warms my heart!

In fact the other side can compare us to Hitler and Nazis, I can, and will, at every opportunity, start calling them communists and compare them to Stalin, Castro, Ho-Chi, Guevara, et.al...

Stretchdeputy1Voted almost straight ticket, only exception was for Clerk of Court, only one even on the ballot but I have never had an issue with her.

bertoMy choice for state assembly was between a carpet bagging progressive who worked for Obama and Hil and moved to the district a couple years ago or a black lesbian social democrat who authored a resolution to make her city a safe haven from space based mind control weapons. I went the comedy route and chose the cosmonaut.

HobbsRain and threatening rain all day today. Not sure which party, if either, is more likely not to turn out.
November 06, 2018, 12:15 PM
TigerDoreI voted. Heavy turnout in a very Republican district!

BBMWJust got back, huge turn out. They use paper ballots with optical scanners here. Not enough of them working. took 40 minutes to get through the scanner line.

CliffJust got back from voting and a trip to Home Depot here in Lees Summit. Early morning, light traffic, no waiting, straight republican.

STSVoted around 12pm here in NoDak. Polling place was doing pretty brisk business, no lines though.

HobbsFriends in Ann Arbor Michigan posted online that Zingermans is giving $4 off any sandwich if you wear your voted sticker and say "Purple mountains majesty".
I'm a million miles from there, never heard of Zingermans and haven't verified, but the sandwich looked pretty good.

sjtillWife and I just got back from local polling place in our neighborhood. Can't say anything about turnout; we went about 10 am.
Now the waiting starts.
