New Year's Resolutions?

V-TailNew Year's Resolutions?
What are you planning?
I need to lose a few pounds and a couple inches around the middle. I'm certainly not obese, but at 6'3" I just crossed over to the wrong side of the 200 pound line. I'm small-boned, and would probably be better off in the 170s. Need to change my eating habits. At my age (I'll be 81 in a week and a half), with some medical limitations, I won't be able to do serious exercise, but I can certainly do some walking on a treadmill a few times a week.
Also need to get serious about finding a buyer for my small equipment rental business. It's way past time for that.

egregoreI resolve not to make any New Year's resolutions.

Why not start these things now, instead of waiting for an arbitrary date?

sourdough44I don’t have any dedicated ones either. I’ll just try to stay on track the best I can reguardless of the calendar rollover.
Nothing wrong with people trying to turn over a new leaf, many could benefit.

Deqlynnot to waste any food. We throw a massive amount of food away that is uncooked. Time to freeze it or eat it.

I haven't made a New Year's resolution in oh, forever.
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

ensigmaticI don't do New Year's Resolutions.
That being said: The week+ since the end of the 21-day fat loss challenge, during which I accomplished in 21 days what would normally take me two months, has seen me back-slide majoryly. So come next week I'll get back on the wagon--but not at the 21 day challenge level.

IronbuttThis August I quit smoking cold turkey after smoking for close to 60 years. My resolution is to not start again. (And maybe loose some of the 20 lbs of weight I gained since quitting.)

TSM11Ordinarily I don't make new years resolutions. (Pretty much like most of the comments already posted), but this year seems a little different. In order to show my appreciation for his patience and understanding for all of the time I've been away, tending to my ailing mother, I resolve to buy my FAVORITE husband a shiny new gun.
That seems like a reasonable resolution to me.
Perhaps after that, the good karma monster might bless me with getting back in line regarding good eating habits and some much needed weight Re-Lose. Not a type-oh, that is what I meant.
Happy New Year everyone.
I'm with Rotndad what's your excuse.
