If you have helped, are helping, or will be helping Harvey's victims in any ways, *** Winner of this LMT MRP AR-15 = TxRoadrunner ***
*** TxRoadrunner is the winner. Congrats! ***

"in any ways" means any, even just a little.
- Help with rescue effort (TX NG, first responders, neighbors helping neighbors, strangers helping strangers. etc.).
- Help at the many shelters around town.
- Help with donations, monetary or materials, however small they are.

Or, if you have any family/friends who fit the above categories, and if they don't mind having an EBR, then they are eligible.

I would love to hear your stories.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Smile

Karmanator will pick the winner some time next week.

The AR:
I am original owner. Bought the complete lower and the complete upper, both new, separately and just slapped together. Not a build by any stretch of the imagination. The lower has the LMT 2-stage NM trigger. The upper has the rifle length MRP, with a 14.5-inch barrel, with a pinned BCM comp to make it non-NFA. It is complete as shown in pics. The sights are Troy Battle Sights. The loaded mag is not included, of course. It will be a NIW Pmag. The AR has not been fired. Yeah, the story of my gun hoarding life. Big Grin

Wow! Very nice karma. I'm ineligible for such coolness but many thanks for offering it up. Red Cross gets my money.

A most generous karma, but please don't enter me.

A friend of mine from church uses most of his off-work time to maintain and run a disaster food-kitchen. He feeds both victims and rescue / support personnel directly on-site.

I suspect he's put a great deal of his own money into the effort, but he also accepts donations to cover travel expenses to disaster sites. He's planning to head to TX when organizations like his get the green light. We were happy to make donation to his efforts.

Praying for all involved, especially those living in the affected areas.

This I will go in for. (First responder during storm). Very generous, but if I win, pleas just make a donation to the 100 club. If you want rid of the rifle instead of making a donation. I will find you a deserving charity who will take it if I win

According to Confucius, Kant, and the Baghavad-Gita, one should do good from 'jen', duty, and without expectation of reward. With the agency of a friend from work I plan to send an accumulated cache of canned goods with her church's mission to HTX. Your offer is generous, thank you. Please exclude kablammo from the karma. GHUA.

I don't think any of us here would ever volunteer to help others with the expectation of reward. The karma comes freely as a sincere appreciation. Cool

I sent 500$ to a friend near the flood area. He is buying necessities and personally taking them to shelters and places of need.

If the karmanator picks me, I want you to sell the firearm and send the money down there for the same purpose.

I'm not in for the karma. I just want to share that I give regularly to several charities one of which goes to where the need is whether chronic poverty or ad hoc disasters.

Your thread made me check if they are involved and sure enough they're there helping Harvey victims.

It's a good feeling like when your investments pay off.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." We are on the East Side of Houston and were very lucky that the water has not made it into our house. We have all been doing everything we can to help out in our area. Hopefully by later today we will be able to drive out of our neighborhood. Thank you all for your support during this tough time. Because I drive a company vehicle I have a older personal vehicle I have loaned to a family who lost both of their cars yesterday. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

We've sent money down there, if that qualifies I'd like a shot at this very generous karma.

Thank you for the opportunity, and thank you for doing this, your generosity is an inspiration.

Did some flood recovery in the breaks in the storm. Putting my folks up here after their neighborhood took so much water they were given a mandatory evac order. IF I do win I'd gift it to them. He is a former Marine who served in the Korean conflict. I strongly suspect (won't know until the road once again becomes passable) that he lost his recently acquired AR to looters. Given the entire city was evacuated, I doubt the LEO there stand a chance of stopping it.

I'm heading out in an hour to see if I can navigate the water to pick up a friend who's been stuck in a hotel since Sunday due to rising water. If you pick my name it will go to member "Twist" since he offered help to me a few days ago.

I am president of my Rotary Club. One of our annual service projects to to prepare disaster relief buckets. These 5 gal buckets are filled with cleaning supplies, gloves, clothespins, detergent, etc. We have filled hundreds of these buckets over the years, and fowarded them to an organization that distributes them where needed, such as hurricane or tornado damaged areas.

We will also coordinate some other disaster relief efforts through the club for the Harvey cleanup.

Wow, amazing karma. I used to travel almost 100% and I always kept the extra soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouthwash, etc from the hotels I stayed at. Whenever a box filled up I would donate to a women's shelter. Well I have two large boxes completely full of hygiene items and am taking them to work today for the donations they are collecting to bring to Houston shelters.

Donated to Samaritan's Purse, run by Franklin Graham. If I win, please sell the A/R and donate that to the efforts. You're a kind and generous man, 12131!
