These and small size Allen and Torx wrenches cover most of my daily wrenching needs.

I recommend Gorilla Grip tape as something I haven't seen mentioned yet. Pricey, but yes, worth it for when you need something stronger than duct tape.

Small tubing cutter
Sandpaper roll
3 pack chisel set for wood
1/2 chisel for cement
Punch set for nails
Small handle hacksaw for tight spots
12 or 16 inch level

General Use Tools:
-5lb sledge hammer
-rubber mallet
-set of prybars (small medium large)
-cat's paw nail puller
-flat prybar (stanley Wonderbar)
-set of nail punches
-quality scraper (that uses razor blades)
-laser level (<$50 gets you one that does level and plum and works fine for indoor use)
-speed square
-combination sqaure
-breaker bar
-universal joints in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2"
-various 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive extensions
-set of adapters to convert between drive types (ie 1/2" to 3/8" drive)
-propane or MAP gas torch
-linemans pliers
-Set of Torx wrenches
-3" and 6" drywall knives (for small repairs)
-T50 stapler
-digital level
-2 foot and 4 foot levels
-safety glasses
-various work gloves (rubber dipped / leather, etc.)


Power Tools
-Ocillating Multitool (loud and annoying, but extremely useful)
-jigsaw
-quality circular saw
-drill with Hammer drill option
-impact driver
-impact wrench
-quality set of drill bits (worth the expense in the long run)

Seldom used tools, but are great when you need them:
-manual impact screwdriver (type you hit with a hammer)
-micro rachet set with 1/4" hex adapter for using driver bits
-set of precision screwdrivers
-small fish tape
-strap wrench


Consumables to always have on hand:
-Masking Tape
-Gorrilla Tape
-3M Super 33 electrical tape
-assortment of sandpaper or sanding sponges
-Single use tubes of super glue
-red locktite
-blue locktite
-WD40
-PB Blaster or similar penetrant
-3-in-1 oil
-Silicon Spray Lube
-Adhesive Remover
-Degreaser
-Nitrile Gloves
-various types of picture hangers / drywall anchors
-wire nuts
