First outdoor ride of the year-Bicycle. Large pic
The weather permitted me to ride into December, here in Cincy.

Today was the first outside ride of the year for me.

18.3 miles. No records set this evening, but it did feel good to get back outside and ride.

Have you started riding outside yet?

Tomorrow, I will be riding to Loveland and back, 20.25 miles.

You should have called it a giant pic. A missed opportunity there.

Glad you enjoyed the ride. A good ride on the bike helps your perspective.

Nothing like being out on two wheels. It’s been warm enough here that I’ve been getting in a great ride almost every day. A pic from my most recent rides.

Nice Giant. I’m currently in the process of converting one of my old Giant Anthem X-29 cross country mountain bikes into a drop bar gravel style bike.

The front 37mm tubeless tire went on impossibly easy but the rear 40mm tubeless tire is kicking my ass. I probably should have gone with all black gravel tires, the tan sidewalls look odd with all the writing on the rims.

What it should look like when I’m done. This one is a medium frame so mine will look slightly different with its large frame.

Oh yeah, been out riding. Got in a nice 11 mile ride the other day. Preparing to get in a century ride this spring or early summer.

Well done.

We're in Florida now, but the only reason I'm looking forward to getting back to Chicago is to getting out on my bike.

I'm at 275 miles for the year so far.

One of the few advantages of dealing with California's political climate is.....the weather.

769 miles YTD on my new triathlon bike. I really love it. Carbon wheels and electronic shifting makes a huge difference for this old guy. I've got a half ironman on May 1st and a full ironman in November. I'll likely rack up 4,000 miles this year in training.

I have a bike and plan to get started this weekend.
It's a few years older Cannondale hybrid, but it's an XL frame and fits my lurch size...

One of y'all (preferably one who's also a cheapskate) please recommend me a bicycle helmet for my XL sized head. I want to wear one that's understated, if possible.

Slabsides45, I’ve been using a Giro Fixture MIPS Bike Helmet. It’s comfortable, flows air through it pretty well and will only set you back about $65. They tend to run big so those with a large head like me will probably like this helmet.
