Going to have a little fun... The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp
I am a big fan of the TV series The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp starring Hugh O'Brian.
The series ran 1955-1961.

I am having a custom hat made to replicate what Hugh O'Brian wore back in 1955.

I just discovered today that back in 2010, Colt put out a 2 gun tribute set of what Hugh O'Brian used in the the old TV series.
Of course I had to buy them.
They look like this:

I enjoy the show, too, like many old westerns. But it does show a gun ban in the city attitude too often for me.
I do really like your pistols!

Wyatt often disarmed residents. He appears to have been an advocate of gun control, although he was once fined for carrying in San Francisco, where he retired.

He was for Gun Control for everyone but him and his friends.

Just stop it! Wyatt was the best!

Seriously, my user name is because he was the most impressionable character that I did an essay on in high school.

The Buntline is almost mythological but there is a pretty good chance that the Earp / Buntline thing never happened.
And Buntline himself was kinda..... Sketchy.
The Buntline may have basis with the Colt "Buggy Rifle". A detachable stocked, long barreled, adjustable sight Peacemaker. These guns are super rare and worth a fortune. Some longer barreled Peacemakers were made as dealer samples and as presentation pieces.
I thought it was cool to see Hugh O'Brien in John Wayne's last film, The Shootist.

It will be a nice family heirloom thing to pass on with the hat.
Now the search begins for the holster sets that could be had with them.

Arp Pirates.

I laid in an email contact to Frontier Gunleather who made the 2 gun replica holster to see if they will make another.

This show ended shortly before I was born and I don't remember ever seeing it in reruns until discovering it on Cozi TV on weekend mornings. That was about two years ago. I've now seen almost all of the episodes and really enjoy it. It's definitely more "legend" than true "life," but it's a lot of fun.

Enjoy those pistols and your hat; the pistols look like they'll be heirlooms.

I talked with Frontier Gunleather in Rancho Mirage. They originally made the holster set for Colt.

They will remake it for me.
Very nice.

See this link and click on the arrows to see the holster.

My favorite Tombstone visit story comes from a visit to Boot Hill.
