Walt? Jessie? Suspects Toss Nearly $1 Million From SUV During High-Speed Police Chase By Bill Galluccio May 5, 2020 A suspect fleeing from police dropped two boxes containing nearly $1 million in cash on the side of the road. An officer with the California Highway Patrol spotted three vehicles traveling together and attempted to pull one of them over for a traffic violation. The three drivers fled the area while the officer gave chase. One of the SUVs, a black Ford Expedition, tried to block the officer by driving in between the lanes. The officer managed to get around the Expedition and continued to follow a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban. As the officer approached the SUV, the driver quickly pulled over, opened the door, and dropped two cardboard boxes on the side of the road before speeding away. The suspect did not go much farther and stopped his vehicle to surrender to the police. While the officer was taking that suspect into custody, he noticed the third vehicle stopped in traffic up ahead. He managed to arrest that driver as well. During a search of the suspects' vehicles, officers found walkie talkies and narcotics. When they went back to check the boxes, they found $915,000 in cash. Investigators determined that the men were on their way to purchase a large quantity of marijuana. Both men were arrested and are facing multiple felony charges. Authorities said the driver of the third vehicle remains at large. Photo: California Highway PatrolThis message has been edited. Last edited by: HRK, | ||

I read from another source the three vehicles were all large black SUVs, in caravan formation. As if to advertise in Merced County CA, cartel territory, "hey, look at me!" .
