Does anyone here have some of these Rapid Radios I've been seeing online?

I have a friend that has ordered some.
Wonder how good they work?

Seems like a terrible product from a scam company.

It requires LTE cellular network, when your phone doesn't work neither will these.
There are apps for your phone that can do the same thing.

No monthly fee - BECAUSE it requires an annual fee. $50/year per radio after 1st year.

I would ask myself what would it do for me that a cell phone can’t. If the towers go down in a power loss or grid hit it’s not going to work.

This video from Josh at Ham Radio Crash Course does a good job of explaining the product/concept of a PoC (Push-to-talk over Cellular) radio. How good they work depends on what you want them to do, and when you need them to do it!

My buddy that ordered them knows the limitations of them. He's been a extra ham since the early 80's. These "radios" are supposed to switch carriers if one goes down. Like when we had the big flood in 2016 here in Louisiana AT&T went down but Verizon was up that's kind of what he's looking for. Plus it's supposed to be able to work kind of like when you don't have enough signal to make a phone call but can text.
We have out ham radios for back up these would be something to play with and let non ham family members use.

I've watched all the YouTube video people have posted about them. They will be fun to play with when they come in.
