I really like this guy. Nothing seems to get him off message, which is a solid conservative message, and nothing or any organization (vis a visa) Disney scares him because it's hard for them to argue against the absolute truth once you take politics out of it. He has a bright political career ahead. A bit early to mention the P word, but I'm sure it's on the minds of many.

It would be nice if every (red) state had a Governor like him. There are a few other good ones, but he seems to be leading the pack.

His own statement was that the swamp was so corrupted that he quickly figured out that he could do more for his country by leading his state well, than he could every do in DC. Not hard to believe that. Strong states and strong governors do a LOT for our country. This is the truth, many Americans neglect paying attention to the local races, truth is that's where the problems started and the future starts.

School Boards, Zoning boards, mayors, councilmen, these are where the left has worked hard to get people into positions to alter the way kids are taught and how police enforcement is handled.

POTUS is a short term position, even a magnanimous smart effective businessman like Trump found it difficult, mainly because we R voters failed him in the mid terms and handed Nasty Nancy the keys to the world.

FL needs Desantis and he, another Governors term then on to the US Senate where he can work for years...

DeSantis Warns Potential Looters: ‘Florida is a Second Amendment State’

Looting has been a big concern for those in areas facing severe damage from Hurricane Ian.

“We are a law and order state, and this is a law and order community,” DeSantis said while speaking at a press conference in Fort Myers on Friday. “So do not think that you’re going to take advantage of people who’ve suffered misery.”

During a subsequent press conference later in the day, DeSantis reiterated, “don’t even think about looting.”

The governor warned those seeking to “ransack people’s homes” that the state is heavily armed.

“I can tell you in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home,” DeSantis said. “And I would not want to chance that if I were you — given that we’re a Second Amendment state.”

Fox News reports that Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno also said that he “will not tolerate” anyone trying to take advantage of people suffering.

“We are not going to tolerate, I mean, zero tolerance when we say anyone that thinks they’re going to thrive on the residents of this county or state when we just took a horrific hit — I can guarantee you that is not going to happen,” Marceno said.

Marceno added that there will be “swift incarceration immediately with no tolerance.”

An estimated two million people still did not have electricity in the state as of Friday afternoon.

I would like to point out that we elected this most excellent governor by a very narrow margin over the goddam communist racist drug abusing perverted MSM/liberal/socialist supported servant of Satan.

We need to work hard to make the margin of re election cheat-proof when it comes up again.
