Wish I was closer.
I will however say if you don’t like shooting the 2022 there is something wrong with you!

Yeah, it’s mostly to see if it fits my hand. Years ago I had a 239. I’m thinking about getting another one. Or maybe a 225A1 as well…

The 2022 is very similar to a P226 in size, lighter due to the polymer frame. The 239 and 225 are both smaller, and similar in size to each other.
I bought a 2022 to use as a nightstand gun as it has a rail for a weapon light; my favorite, a W German P226, doesn't have a rail.
Also of note, the 2022 comes with an extra backstrap to fit different-sized hands.

I do not believe the newest ones do.
We got a fresh one in a couple weeks ago and no extra back straps.
They have also discontinued the smalls and I can’t find them anywhere. I recently bought one used and would like the smaller grip like my other has.

Smalls are listed on Sigs site, in stock.

Well hot damn. I just scoured everywhere two weeks ago and everyone was out of stock.
Except eBay who wanted stupid prices for them or the were FDE.
Even with Sigs $10 shipping still cheaper than eBay!
Thanks!

That’s the key. The adjustable backstrap. In DA mode the trigger on the 226 is too far forward for me.

I know I’m all over the map with duty and compact Sigs. I know the 239 fits my hand. Want to see if the 2022 does. As it come from the factory.

My 226 and 2022 side by side. I have tiny hands and the regular grip (med) works fine. I believe most come with the SRT (short reach trigger) not like the one in the picture. The more squared off front strap fits my knuckles perfectly. The small grip doesn't affect reach that much, just has a little less palm swell. Buy.

Oh, and I hadn't watched Colion's review in a while

If only you were in Maine (ME) and not MD, I'd be willing to let you shoot mine.

We usually keep ours in a Quick-access safe for Home Defense, as both my wife and I shoot it well (it's the only full size that she is comfortable with)

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Very helpful!

To put my hand size in perspective: I wear a “medium” glove. But there is always about a 3/16” of empty space in the finger tips.

Would you say the trigger reach of the two are the same?

I would say the reach on the 226 is slightly longer than the 2022 with the standard trigger and med grip.
