It's a shame the security officer was shot.

That was a gutsy although perhaps not a smart move to dive into a situation with an armed suspect while officers had him at gunpoint. I caught a glimpse of the entry wound, not a great spot. I hope he is alright, any updates on his status?

It has no bearing on my opinion of the outcome but out of curiosity, is open carry inside a bar legal in Atlanta?

I thought same at first, then I slowed the video to .25 at the point the dead guy was crawling away at the end of the bar, and saw the gun on the floor, then he grabbed it, got around the divider wall, got up and as he got to about 2 feet from the security guard, he has the gun in hand heading right towards the guard (no doubt he was heading for the door), and the guard realizes the cops are trailing and may not know the guy has (picked up his gun) a gun, so he reacted and Nose tackled.

That is my opinion based on observation of a blurry dark video.

1. It took the police a long time to get to a disturbance at a high end steak house. I've eaten at Fogo here in Orlando. It's good.

2. If you are a bystander and someone is doing weird shit, get out of the way.

That was my initial take on things! Took the poleece way too long to respond when it was obvious things were going south, and if I were in there eating and saw this guy's actions, I would have vacated the premises ASAP! I have left places before when someone was acting weird, but to have a person with a gun visible and acting this way? Yeah, I'm outta there!

I got the sense the dispatcher was evaluating threat value, in order to assign priority for the next available unit. They must be resource-limited.
