What were you carrying, there?

Maybe he was just happy to see her.

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

There are many things I miss, especially during my teens, but plenty of things I do not. If I could repeat the teen years with what I know now, I would definitely do it though!

Just because you can,
doesn't mean you should

I miss living in a younger body and the lack of real responsibility that allowed me a lot of freedoms.
I grew up in a different, not simpler time. The fifties and sixties if we're just talking childhood. They were simpler from a technological standpoint, but there were a lot of complex situations to deal with without the conveniences we have now.
In school, no thoughts about school shootings or any real bullying issues. Instead we had drills in first and second grade to prepare for a nuclear exchange. There were many diseases we don't think about now that were a real concern then.
Then there's the things I did that I'm lucky to have survived. As most others did too.
