pisses me off. Somehow I got on their list for extended questioning and it goes deep into your life. income, how much you spend on things like food, shelter, etc.

Takes hours to answer all the stupid questions.

It says right in the letter that I am required BY U.S. LAW to respond.

Title 13 US Code Sections 141 and 193, etc.

I reply to the "regular" (per decade) census. Not this one. I don't recall ever getting one, but there's a problem with theft out of mailboxes lately. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I've tossed 1 or 2 over the years. The number and detail of the questions was amazing and very intrusive= No.

Bureaucrats, justifying their jobs. Toss the thing.

Take your time to answer it, but take care to answer questions that have similar focus in completely different ways.

For example, it asks about people living in the house. Answer 87. The question on how many bedrooms, answer none.

Another is to answer zero income, but it’s a house with an $80,800,900 mortgage.

The point is they build into these surveys ways to assess accuracy and consistency into the questions, and use these comparison points to toss responses that are clearly trolling.

I got a census form a few years ago. Answered only 3 or 4 questions. Sent it back mostly blank.

This one likely got lost in the mail somewhere in North Dakota.
