Technically, the only fires that are self-fueling are magnesium fires. I learned that in Navy firefighting school and the only fix is to jettison them into the ocean. All A or B fires can be killed by taking away one leg of the triangle: heat, oxygen, or fuel. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Did lithium ion batteries exist when you went through Navy firefighting school? I suppose it is possible that magnesium fires were the only self fueling fires, but that isn’t the case anymore. | |||

Thanks for correcting me. I just googled lithium and it does produce its own oxygen. Back then, it was jetfighter wheels. I wonder how they deal with lithium batteries in submarines.
