I know for a photograph, I have to have another site to host the pic...Photobucket for example. How do I post a video that has been recorded? Does it have to be posted to youtube? If so, how the heck do I do that and then post it here?

That's how I would do it. No idea if there is a better way.

Once it's on Youtube, you need to use a tool to generate the code. I use this one, although I'm sure there are others:

http://www.vtubetools.com/

Then you click on the little film strip icon to the right of the photo icon, paste your code, and shazaam!

Try scrolling down & visiting the "Sig Forum Office". Someone may be able to provide you with a neat feature, "Tube It"to aid posting videos.

Thanks guys. Glad you all find it useful. I wrote that code when there wasn't any good way to embed from YouTube on Sig Forum. But that has changed.

You don't really need tubeit any more - but you welcome to keep using it.

YouTube has changed things a bit so a simple way to post a video is to:

1. Go to the YouTube page
2. Click "Share" under the video.
3. Select Embed and then copy the code that appears there. It will look something like this

 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6etSnWaGl-E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 

4. Then come back to you post and click the little film strip above the post - right next to the picture icon.

5. You paste the code from YouTube between the FLASH_VIDEO boxes. It will look like this:

 [FLASH_VIDEO] <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6etSnWaGl-E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> [/FLASH_VIDEO] 

Or, usually, you can:

1. Just right click on the YouTube video,
2. Select "Copy Embed Code" Then like before
3. Come back to you post and click the little film strip above the post - right next to the picture icon.

4. Paste the code from YouTube between the FLASH_VIDEO boxes. Again, it will look like this:

 [FLASH_VIDEO] <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6etSnWaGl-E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> [/FLASH_VIDEO]
