I am still using a Nikon D50. It is long in the tooth but still takes great photos. I may upgrade it next year. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Modern cameras I use are a Nikon D750 and D300. I've been looking at the Coolpix A1000 because of it's tiny size and huge range of focal lengths but it is an expensive little camera. As for Film, got that covered in 35mm, 120/220, and 4x5 and have a flatbed scanner capable of scanning film from 35mm to 8x10 inches. Once I retire will be getting the old monorail out of storage and shoot some B&W with it. I've stopped counting.

I have a Sony RX10 too, and like very much. It has a bolted-on zoom of good quality, so no dust-on-the-sensor problems. Its sensor is reasonably large (1”), in the 3:2 form factor that I prefer (same as 35mm full frame). The only accessory that I have (or need) for it is a good quality polarizing filter. It has a built-in 3x neutral-density filter that can be selected (or not). I carry it in a compact neck strap case that has a pouch just big enough for the polarizing filter. It has two “mode” selections that can be set up for specific photo types. I have “tripod” and “active kid or pet” modes (as I name them) defined. A very compact system that makes good photos. My now 'old' D300. Wanted to keep using my Nikkor 35mm film lenses, so I originally bought a D70s as a trial DSLR. While it was a good camera it had its limitations. The D300 addressed most of these, and then some. Other than it not having a full-frame sensor and no video capability, the D300 has been more than adequate and I've felt no need to upgrade. -MG

Nikon D5600, I traded in a D3200 for it. I wanted the tilt LED to make getting low easier. Now I'm thinking of adding a D7500, maybe even a D500 for the much brighter prism of both. I have 5 DX lenses, otherwise I would go FX. ____________________________ NRA Life Member, Annual Member GOA, MGO Annual Member
