When I asked for a specific pic of the gun in question the seller went radio silent. I can't believe people are going through this much effort.

Reminder: be VERY CAREFUL dealing with anyone, even people supposedly legit from SF classifieds. Ask for specific, new pics of the item in question, and if anything seems hinky, don't send money.

I asked "Flash-LB" to snap a specific pic of the item, and to reply in my WTB thread so I could ensure the person emailing me had access to Flash's SF account. Apparently the "seller" doesn't.

I saw them... but I don't see anything in the posts you included that mentions Flash-LB nor the email address the "seller" is using. And if there were posts pointing out that "Flash-LB" is being used by scammers I missed them. I emailed Q about it and he suggested I start a thread like this to hopefully connect/vet the email "seller" with the legit SF account/member.

It is due to your posts regarding potentially closing the classifieds that I've been extra careful and asked for additional verification, so thanks for that.

If you don't mind I want to make sure Flash-LB sees this thread and has a chance to confirm it isn't him before I post the "seller's" name and email. I don't want Flash-LB to be blamed for something he didn't do in case for some reason his email is legit. Regardless I'm not moving forward with the potential deal obviously.

We never settled on a price but he was offering a Desert Eagle .50 for $1350 which is a "good" but not "crazy good" price for a lightly used one. He had a bunch of pics which were (apparently) stolen/reused. Sent me some screen grab of some random user's positive ebay feedback to try to seem more legit.
