What is everyone using for a free standing Air Purifier
My wife and I are looking for an Air Purifier for our home. It would cover an area of about 250 to 300 Sq Ft.
We are looking for something that would clean dust particles, pollen, dust mites, mold spores.
We are looking to spend around $100 to $150 on something but we are not sure what to look at. There are to many choices on Amazon and are not sure how good they work.
I am looking at hearing some of your experiences and recommendations.
Thanks everyone

I’ve been using this Sharp for several years. Pretty happy with results.

It's above the given price range, but I've got an IQair Health Pro Plus model (HEPA plus activated carbon for organic odors).

The filters for this aren't cheap but the carbon and main HEPA filter don't get changed frequently, only the pre filter.

Had this for a number of years. Read a bunch of reviews and it came in very well.

Seems to work as the filters are noticeably dirty.
We have ours at the top of the stairs in the hallway to cover the bedrooms.

Now that we have a dog I should probably get another for the first floor.

I am not sure. I had not thought of the filter cost being that much but I may be wrong.
It almost reminds me of the days when my father had a home photocopier, the toner cartridges were more than the photo copier.
The filter cost may be a determine factor on the Air purification system I buy.

We have three Winix units in our home. I researched air filters to death a couple of years ago and landed on these.

I bought a Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier with True HEPA, PlasmaWave and Odor Reducing Washable AOC Carbon Filter I’ve only had it for about 5 months. Not long enough to feel like it is helping, but I am going thru less kleenex.

Pricey at $600, but totally worth it. It's a beast. We keep it in our bedroom on auto during the day and high at night, as well as for the awesome white noise it makes which helps me sleep. Also stops my nose from getting stuffy, which is always good.

It makes the room feel like a sterile laboratory.

We've been using similar in our work environment; we have substantial air moving equipment in the classrooms. The units solve the "feel good" component. They function well.

Medifyair.

I have 2 of the MA-25 series (on amazon you can get a 2 pack at a discount) and 1 MA-40 series. They do an exceptional job.

The MA-25 runs very quietly.

I have allergies. Have been doing allergy shots for 3 years now. Use to have a sore throat every day. 1st thing my allergy doctor recommended was a BlueAir air purifier. They are not cheap, but I have not had a sore throat since day 1 of using it. Worth every penny. I even pack it up & bring it with me if I am going to spend the night somewhere else. They do offer several different ones in various price ranges. The filter I use is usually about $65 & it gets replaced every 6-7 months.

$50 a year. Filters are $23 on Amazon and suggested switch out is 6 months.

We have 7 rescue cats and have about 10 filters. As they get "shakey" we've been changing over to these,
