I'm going to take a WAG and say if this company is also making Ryobi and Milwaukee tools, they don't want this low-end budget stuff cannibalizing those sales.

I think it's based on your usage. I bought Milwaukee cordless drill set a while back. I hardly used it. Not a huge DIYer. Batteries eventually failed. sold it before I moved to GA. Bought a Black and Decker cordless drill on sale at Menards for $20. Damn things does everything I need so far. funny thing is that my dad before he passed had that same drill and my brother would put it through its paces when he was there. My sister has that one now.

I am probably going to give it to my son when he moves to a house this year. I have RYobi fans/blowers so I will probably get a drill then.
