Shouldn't there be three nightly news programs ?

One for your state news, another for national news and as another for all the international news.

Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency.

Not certain why it matters how many evening "news" programs there are. They aren't really doing news anymore, anyway. We no longer watch network "news" at all, and fast-forward through more of the local "news" than we watch.
