Well, things escalated in an unfortunate direction. I tossed a blanket over the cage, and he sprayed a bit of his stink mostly away from the house. The trap was placed in such a manner that I could not cover it entirely with the blanket, as the rear of the trap extended into the crawl space of my home, and half the trap was flush against the concrete wall of box around the entrance. Due to the unfortunate placement of the trap, and sloppy execution of the blanket toss, I'm going to have to put this one in the loss column... I left the removal of the skunk to the professional trapper. So no skunk for my project, a relatively minor skunk oder on the back of my house. And an unusable blanket. I'll do better next time.

I've shot them in the brain and they didn't spray. BUT - last time I posted that, people chimed in and said every time they shot them - they sprayed. So apparently you have to hit them in just the right spot... ------------------ SBrooks
