recoatliftI've always wondered, when the docs know it's the end, do they dope you up so much you don't know you're about to enter the Cosmos?
I've never seen anyone in that shape before. The last stages.

Just look at all the hate and bitterness being posted here. I suppose that is a good thing?

Here's another catchy little phrase for you....
"You reap what you sow." McCain has done his fair share over many years to illicit a significant amount of disdain from a significant number of people. He's long sense burnt up all his 'war hero' cred with me. I'll shed no tears when he leaves Washington for good, whether on his feet, or rolled out in a black zipper bag. A man with any sense of character or integrity would resign, knowing he could no longer perform the duties of the job. But not ole McCain. He's too much of a legend in his own mind.

When my father was in the last stages and it was down to hours, the narcotics used made him unaware of the surroundings.
I will never cheer anyones death.

The truth is that his massive ego, combined with his increasing senility/liberalism, is causing him to hurt this country and preventing us from moving forward economically and securely. I don't want to think ill of him, but it is hard not to sharply resent the negative impact he is causing to an entire nation.

When my mother was dying of cancer they had her on morphine pretty much 24/7. Cancer is a horrible way to go, not that there are really any good ones.

My sister passed from cancer in her 30's. I don't wish it on anyone.

mbinkyAs much as I have DESPISED, I mean DESPISED, what McCain has done to this nation in the past year (and I may have not been too easy earlier) I truely wish he would have left the senate before this.
I respect what he did, (I couldn't imagine), I respect his service, and I honestly wish he had just stepped aside in his twilight and enjoyed the benefits of a greatful nation.

That's about where I am on this.
I don't wish him ill or suffering... I just want him to leave the Senate, and enjoy his few remaining days in the company of friends and family.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

darthfusterWhat was his vote on the repeal of Obama care? With whom did he celebrate afterward? There is nothing else in his history that matters to me more than that. He consumes other's liberty without a thought. It appears God alone has the power to drag McCain out of they seat of tyranny. I patiently await their meeting. Swing low sweet chariot.

signewtnear the end my own dad, consumed by lung and brain cancer... was incapable of exercising sound judgement much less being able to release his own seat belt after the last drive we took thru the old neighborhood let alone grasp where he was....but then he wasn't a senator.
How does McCain fit 'consent of the governed' ???
Others don't seem far behind given their various public meltdowns this past year.

I watched my mother in her last days. I will not get further into it.
She wasn't a traitor to people who supported her.
She didn't live life to spite those trying to fix the country.
She didn't defraud folks of their life savings in corrupt political bullshit
She wasn't a Senator.
My mother wasn't a scumbag.

Depends on what meds hospice gives them and the dosage.
Watched my Dad die from CA and he was conversant till he drew his last breath.
Another friend died from GBM (what McCain has) at 38 and his wife said that the last few weeks were like living with someone that was on a 24/7 acid trip. Crazy off the wall stuff of a malfunctioning noggin.
I was with him once in those last few days and there was *one* moment he wasn't speaking nonsense and I actually saw the spark in his eyes when he recognized me.
His wife would have preferred that he was zonked because she had one toddler already and didn't need another one that weighed 180 pounds and could reach stuff.

Yeah, you're right
I hate what evil men have done to our country and to my children and grandchildren
Here's one for you skippy;
"Any text, taken out of context, becomes a pretext.
Uh, hello, Mcfly?
So, take the pretext and hump it.
Try this one from the same good book:
"Do you not know that we are to
judge angels?
How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!"
That is an imperative command in the original text, "judge and continue to judge without ceasing", is a better translation.
What "matters" to me is freedom, and this corrupt fruitcake should have been tried for treason a long time ago.
Do I hate evil? bet your ass I do, any form, any person.
Check your headgear, I think the Almighty hates evil too. Guess I'm in good company then.
Plenty of Germanic people withheld "judgement" from their leader, representative.
We all know how that turned out...
The highest virtue is NOT tolerance
It's truth and love for IT
Oh, yeah, and please spare me, you make judgments every day
Just like the "judgement" you made in your response above.
Get your headgear flushed out man!
I don't want to watch him suffer, nope, not at all, no one is remotely advocating that.
Just kinda like Judas did after he got his 30 pieces of silver, read that one for a reminder.
I just want him and others like him to go away
Like, turn the page and move on
So, turn the page...

pbslingerjohn McCain appears to have let hatred drive his selfish agenda instead of promises and allegiance to his constituents. His petty interests became more important than helping his country. Either he flipped a switch during the last years of his life, or that was his prevailing personality his entire life. I fear the latter, which could explain a lot.
If he was involved in promoting the steele dossier scam, he is traitorous, and it would have been just for him to have died while in prison. Maybe he didn't know the dossier was fake, or maybe he didn't care. He appears to have stripped himself of any honor during his last years, and doesn't deserve the privilege of being called an American. He is an establishment shill who we counted on to be more. If he'd have won the presidency, he'd likely have damaged the Republic brand for a decade.
It looks to me like his presidential candidacy was just a show and that he wasn't really invested in the opposition of evil that the Republican candidates were in 2008 and 2012. He looks now like he was a puppet who was well aware he was a flip side of the same coin and it didn't really matter if he won or lost. Maybe we'd have still gotten Trump in 2016 if McCain beat king stampy feet, but instead with Trump running as a democrat.
