cslingerWe won today, celebrate, enjoy victory but please don’t forget the November midterms
I really feel like there is a chance this energized the base and independent voters but we all need to get off our butts and VOTE this November.
Don’t ever say to yourself, it’s just a midterm.
Now get back to partying!

shovelheadI can proudly say that I only missed one Presidential election since 1972. That was in 1988, I was working full time and after hours was a paid on call Firefighter. Was on a fire call and could not get to the polls that evening.
Have never missed a mid term though. Some local ones those I will admit to have missed.

BassamaticYeah, really. After what just happened over the last two weeks I think the republicans nationwide are pretty damn fired up.
I know I sure am.

I never miss an election... even when I'm an election official.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Il CattivoThirty-one days. Give it a few days to let the dust settle from Kavanaugh's confirmation, and it'll be interesting to see how things are shaping up. It'll be fun to see if the protracted hooplah over the confirmation not only got the Republican base fired up but ate into the effectiveness of the Dem's campaign efforts back home.

nighthawkThis is the First major victory over the commies since we got Trump elected. Everyone is savoring the moment, and also enjoying the feeling, as well as the strange feeling of all of the Republican Party pulling together as one. After years of getting kicked around, I think the party will finally go after the Dems wholeheartedly, like they use to do to us.

FenrisIt is the first instinct of most every Republican politician to seek out a Democrat to whom he can surrender for the sake of bi-partisanship. It's nice to see them discover their backbone.
How many times have we watched the Republican party roll over on it's back and ask the commies for a belly rub?
Lindsey Graham? Who knew?

trapper189Hey, thanks. And don't you forget to vote for president in 25 months.
It's ok to relax and be happy for a few days. Really it is. I don't believe anyone here doesn't have his or her eye on the ball.

gjgalliganPrior to the Trump era my opinion of Republicans was not much better then my view of the Democrats.
Kind of like there was only one goal post in our future.
When the Democrats had the ball they were running to that goal as fast as they could and when the Republicans had the ball they were just fast walking to the same goal.
Now that Trump picked up the ball we are headed in the opposite direction. Back in the direction our founding fathers started us out on.
The majority of Republicans were only "not as bad" as the Democrats in the last 30 years.
I fear that once Trump is out of office the ball will return to the wrong direction with either party.

For years I've said that the Dems want to destroy the country and the Republicans want to let them while throwing in the odd critical comment.
It was only a few years ago that the best and brightest were talking about managing our decline.

Il CattivoI'm sure that eight years of Obama's Eeyore act would be enough to get to a lot of otherwise rational people. This is what it looks like to step out of that environment.
