T-Mobile has two free services, one of which is on by default, the other which you can easily activate, and a paid service.

Get automatic scam protection on your phone

I activated the Scam Block feature. It's not perfect, but it did appear to help.

Other than that: I simply don't answer unrecognized numbers. Nine-times-out-of-ten: If it's legitimate, they'll leave voicemail. If it's a scammer or telespammer, they won't.
