… they want to watch Avatar. That means I get to watch Avatar.

I think I’d rather dunk my face in acid three times and pull it out twice.

Important question: Which "Avatar"? The animated show involving an airbender, or the CGI sci-fi movie with the blue guys?

If the former, you're in for a treat. If the latter, my condolences.

(Just don't say the live action one involving the airbender. We don't talk about that abomination...)

It’s the CGI Blue people one. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. I’d prefer to watch Vibes on a loop for a week.

I feel ya…

I have 8…and they all want to watch something different…and all of it is acid-did worthy.

It's only almost three hours long. The time should fly by.

Yeah, I do enjoy time with them. I don’t mean to make light of it. But Avatar does make me wish I had information leading to the arrest of Hillary Clinton.

Time for a little guitar practice?

Alternatively, don't you have a new pedal you need to wire?

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

Mark, count your blessings.
I don't get to see my grandchildren as their mother declared me "toxic" so I am off limits.

No grandchildren yet and I hope to get a few more years before that happens but I get it.
My daughter would want to watch Spirit (the animated horse movie) endlessly. I did it but I felt like running head 1st into a wall sometimes.

I once moved to another city and state and I was invited to stay with a friend and his family till I could find a good apartment. He had two little boys and the youngest got hung up on watching a movie, October Sky. A good movie IMO. It's not tortuous like, say Avatar, but after the 6th or 7th run of listening to his mother ask him if he wanted to watch something else and hearing him yell 'rocket boys!' enthusiastically, it do get a bit tedious.

Oh dear God I just googled Blippi since I'd never heard of it.

You win. Blippi looks...excruciating.

I have sat with a grandchild on each knee and watched likely every Blippi episode. As if that weren't enough, I have watched every Mikka episode. Pardon the sacrilege, but I think I have bled from every pore. How about a nice episode of Caitlyn's Classroom? Truth be known, I surf SigForum while the grandbabies watch their shows.

Some of the Spongebob episodes are actually hilarious. Not sure of the new stuff after the creator died.

Remember, they are your grandchildren. it's you duty to give them all they want and your privilege to to load them to the eyeballs with sugar and hand them off to your children. So, Cotton Candy and Chocolate are the snacks to be provided and the sweetest root beer you can find is the beverage.

I've stopped counting.
