I prefer to look at it as 114 days and a wake-up.

Today is the first day of September, and no Christmas trees and inflatable Bumble Snow Monsters were up at Lowe's or Home Depot. But those are on the way.

In the Philippines 9/1 is the official start to Christmas. Decorations start going up and the malls start playing Christmas music.

I went to a craft store with my wife last week, and sure enough, the trees are on display along with all the accompanying decorations. And all of it in August. Roll Eyes

108 days and a wake up. Right about this time in the days of the old Sears Christmas Wish Book being delivered directly to the mailbox is when the older siblings and our parents would try to get to the mailbox every day before we younger ones. So, they could hide it!

Yesterday was my Friday and as a joke, I was playing Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You as I was cleaning my truck at the end of the day. Three coworkers shouted at me to turn it off as I stood there grinning.

I strongly gravitate towards the old standards and carols. Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses has become a must hear over time though.

97 days and a wakie until Hanukkah. I love dialing into Sirius XM's Radio Hanukkah for several hours during the season too.
