Trying to see if anyone knows of some that are made here in the US. Looking into PowerTye right now and I am skeptical. Waiting on a response from them. Any others I should look at?

I have a pair but haven't used them yet. USA made, they seem excellent for my own needs.

Something with a WLL of 1500 lbs or better to start with. I wouldn’t mind having various sizes as long as they are USA made

Several of them if you do a search. Some of them say "assembled in the USA" so you know what that means. I bought some from Mac's several years ago and they seem to be high quality. I also had some straps I needed in a custom configuration and they did them correctly. Their hardware seems to be much nicer than the generic ones although any of the decent quality ones seem to be OK.
But, I believe they only have a hook on one end [the ratchet end], they're made to be looped & fed back into the ratchet. So, if you need a hook on both ends, these may not be an option.
The Enemy's gate is down.

I have these. Made in the US and built very will IMO.

Last weekend my buddy's ratchet strap failed breaking at the ratchet when cargo bounced in the trailer. Lightweight load. Buddy upset because he bought online saying they were 1800 lb straps and assembled in USA. The ratchet metal was very, very thin. I compared to my ratchets and noticed a marked difference in metal quality.
What I learned from my buddy's error is to disregard the strap description and make sure that I actually touch and feel the quality before buying.

We used the 27' John Deere manufactured ratchet straps to tie down machinery and loads of hay when we still had the hay business. Excellent quality and John Deere pricey but I think they may have been made in their plant in Germany or France, not sure.
Excellent info in that video Paten. Thanks for that. The only failures I've had with any strap (even the Chicom ones) were abrasion related. A shifty load and sharp metal doesn't pair well. I try to carry old innertube for this exact purpose, but sometimes I don't have any. Gonna start carrying some cheap moving blankets around when I've got to move something with sharp edges.
