Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) will temporarily step aside from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, including interactions between Moscow and the Trump campaign.

The probe will be taken over by Reps. Michael Conaway (R-Texas), Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.)

It was a mistake. Be like the Dems, tell them to fuck off. The Dems are never gonna be happy or stop bitching. They should not keep getting these republicans to recuse themselves.

It's actually OK, It takes another issue away from Democrats and other members can easily so what he does IMO.

Nunes did his job getting the ball rolling. Rice is now a topic, not Nunes.

The problem became that left wing groups and democrats were using Nunes as a distraction and the media picked up on it.
Now they will have a tougher time obfuscating the issues at hand.

Everything is fine.

It's hard to figure, but Nunes might have been over his head with the God Damned Commies.

Trey Gowdy is still on the loose.

The trouble here is that all the facts and details are presumably classified, not that that stops a true GDC.

Nunes didn't just recuse himself out of thin air, it's a Trump strategy.

I am not in a panic, Trump has this.

Do we really need a separate thread on this?
