Just bought my 3rd Fenix, the TK21R, after trying to answer the door with my old Fenix E30R and it failing on me. Some young broad either selling AT&T service or pretending to be. It’s been used and abused and dropped more times than it should have been. I intend to carry the TK21R as EDC and at work, it’ll definitely get used. I use my old Streamlight Stinger (likely from early 2000s?? Got it from wife’s grandfather a few years ago when he moved to England) at work, but it’s not really that bright compared to modern options. I also have an old Streamlight Protac something (got it in 2013) I carry at work as my backup, but it’s only a decent light and not rechargeable. Looking forward to one good light to keep with me all day, work or not, and I’ll use my others as backups.

I’ll be going back to my approx 16 year old Fenix P3D for now. Been a simple reliable light, just drains batteries fairly quick.

ETA: I will be happy to go back to a normal tailcap click switch VS the goofy short hold side button on my E30R.

I bought this package deal and have decided to keep the keychain light in my car. I am wondering if it would be okay to keep it plugged into the usb port in the armrest storage compartment in order to maintain its charge. I'm not worried about discharging the car battery since the usb port cuts power when the ignition is turned off. But I'm not sure if it's a situation where the rechargeable battery could become damaged from getting charged everytime I use the car, which is twice a day.

I am loving my Cloud Defensive MCH Micro duel fuel, powered by one 18350 or you can use cr123 in a pinch. Another one I gave a chance and glad I did is the SOG A37, also a 18350. Both lights are high candela and throw some light that Nolan Ryan would be proud of.

I have several of the PD36R and they are great flashlights, but do not have the E03R that comes with this package so I just ordered it. Can’t have too many flashlights, knives, or guns. I was sad to see they discontinued the E02R keychain flashlight that I have several of and love!!!

Personally, I would not keep the flashlight plugged in. I would instead just charge it up once in a while like I do with all of my flashlights. From my limited knowledge, it is not good on a lithium battery to always stay at 100% charge. Just my 2 cents. Once a month or two I recharge all of my flashlights.

Just used up the last of my uniform allowance for last year and got the Streamlight HL 6X.

Very bright, nd a nice good throw. It’s definitely not a “pocket light”, but fits Lin the sap pocket on my jumpsuit, and works great for general graveyard shift work.

Yes, the PD36R Pro is much better without clip, something I will never use. Excellent light, my brightest one yet. And the little keychain light is excellent as well.

Rechargeable lithium batteries do self-discharge but only about one to three percent per month. Set a reminder on your phone to top off the flashlight every 90 or 120 days.

Leaving the flashlight plugged in all the time, especially in a car, seems like a bad idea.

I wouldn't leave anything plugged into a car that might draw power so the car won't go to sleep. I killed a new car battery that way.
