Plus 1 for this! My first date with my wife was a day trip shooting at the range, out to eat hot wings, and cleaning weapons to Full Metal Jacket. I figured if she kept coming back after that, she might be a keeper.

When I clean or fix guns I listen to music. As of late it has been Colter Wall or the sound track from Yellowstone.

Well I’m an idiot...first thought upon reading the thread title, “hell, I don’t think there are any movies about cleaning guns”.

It’s early here!

I like good revenge movies,

Count of Monte Christo
Gladiator
Last man standing

Or some good sci-fi
Troll hunter
War of the worlds
Day the earth stood still

My first thought was about videos about cleaning guns. Didn't occur to me about movies playing while one cleaned guns.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought, too! I did, yep. I thought that.

For some reason, mercenary/hired-gun type movies always worked for me:

Dogs of War
Wild Geese
Ronin
Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven
Way of the Gun
Predator
Killer Elite
Inception
Rogue One

More of a reloading scene, but the Steve McQueen 1966 movie Nevada Smith, where Brian Keith is reloading at the back of his wagon is pretty cool.

Man, some of you guys are naming movies I couldn't take my eyes off of. Wind River, Jeremiah Johnson, like those. Now, The Godfather series, most definitely.

Lots of good ones already mentioned. Out of movies I own and can put on anytime, Casablanca was the first that came to mind for me, followed by High Noon and From Here to Eternity.

I'd second two already said, Blazing Saddles or Full Metal Jacket. I'm a fan of listening to comedy while cleaning guns.
