If you were to make a list of smaller practical items you've seen recommended here, what would you put on it? I do not mean large things like a new rifle or pistol, but smaller practical items.

So far I have smart wool or merino wool socks.

Lula loaders

That tiny bit ratchet set ... forget the brand, but I have the Kobalt version

Panasonic rechargeable batteries.

And nearly anything from Countycomm.com, a site that was discussed here several years ago with all sorts of things you didn't know you needed yet.

I cannot remember if I've recommended it before (apologize if I didn't), but this LED light from Streamlight is extremely practical and easy to carry.

For Christmas, I have bought relatives FENIX lights, Streamlights, and even Surefire lights and they all end up in glove boxes, tool boxes, drawers, bottom of purses, etc. (i.e. rarely used and not the EDC I intended). 100% of the same people are carrying this light everywhere. Also, since it's USB chargeable there is not the excuse of stopping using because they don't have a CR123 or one of those flat disc batteries.

Mine evidently predate A.G. Russell, but they are the best.
I have several scattered around, including in all my first aid kits.

I hate jingling keys. A couple of years ago I was in a hardware store in Easton, MD and they had a KeySmart display, bought one and love it.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

I've used a Keysmart for a couple of years. Love it. It also makes the keys take up less space and keeps them from stabbing you in the thigh.

I had the original KeySmart for years and really liked it. Only 1 very minor problem was I received special attention at security (i.e. airports, concerts, and sporting events) since it looked like a folding knife.

For months, they hyped their new KeySmart with the tile and LED light built-in. I was excited about it and preordered. Most disappointing product I have bought in years. First, unlike a tile keychain the KeySmart sides were incredibly thick and in my pocket it went from handy to worse than traditional keys. Second, absolute piss poor design on the bolt holes and it was a PITA to add new keys, extensions, etc. I don't think it even made it 2 weeks in my pocket. Even after my "glowing review" if anybody wants it I'll instant karma it to them.

I went back to a regular keychain instead of the original KeySmart.
