coloradohunter44Prayers for Victor Davis Hanson
Para nailed it! He is a very talented, intelligent and always spot on. Prayers he stays strong and gets well soon.

83v45magnaPrayers sent for VDH. I watch his videos on Daily Signal at least every two days if not every day. His stock in trade is one, honest no-shit assessment after another.
Victor is one of only a handful of truly clear thinkers and speaks truth in a time of greatest need for truth I will likely ever see. We are finally winning and we need this old man to keep up his good work. If there ever were such a thing, he needs to be there to stomp over the finish line with the rest of us.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11
...But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. - Psalm 63:11 [excerpted] December 30, 2025, 09:16 AM
oddballVDH is one of the few sane voices out there doing political commentary, a guy I agree with 99% of the time, he almost always hits the mark.
This article touches on his medical issues. He's going to have surgery at one of the finest med centers in the country, Stanford Med, and hopefully he pulls through with flying colors to a full recovery. We need him.

BroadsideI agree with what everyone here is saying. VDH is one of the few sane voices doing political commentary these days.
Even in the few cases I don't agree with VDH, he lays out his case so clearly that you can say, "Yeah, I get where you are coming from on this."
Prayers that I hope he pulls through and recovers. Conservatives really need his voice of reason.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

"I finally ended up going to the best medical center that I know, Stanford Med, and the people there are wonderful," he added. "It’ll work out one way or the other."
Hanson said he didn’t want to discuss his "own problems," but people have been calling him suggesting he doesn’t "look well" or sounds hoarse.
"It’s been a nine-month odyssey, the problem I had was very hard to diagnose, so it’s no one’s fault. It’s been diagnosed through biopsy and everything else and I’ll be fine. At least, I’ll do my best for everybody because I think I have an obligation to all of our readers and listeners that I get wonderful letters from," Hanson said.

FrankMosesProfessor Hanson has revealed on his show that it’s a pulmonary issue, which is unusual for someone that’s never been a smoker and a very minimal drinker earlier in his life. I just hope it isn’t related to the chemicals that were used back in the day on his farm.

My mother died at the age of 72 from stage 4 lung cancer, small cell carcinoma, and never smoked in her life, and was a non drinker as well.

corsairOne of the few Conservative voices that is clear thinking, has great historical perspective and is fantastic ability to articulate his position. He's not a word-Smith like Buckley was but his combination of being an academic while simultaneously being an active farmer provides him a unique voice in our national discourse a perspective that national news willfully ignores.
Prayers, well-wishes and positive vibes.
