I watched the Trump rally Saturday and was anxious to see Elon Musk's security standing next the the Secret service there to protect Trump and Vance. I figured I would NOT see any Diversity hires like we witness protecting Trump. I thought I spotted a few that were not dressed like the Secret Service and figured they were part of Elon's security team. The guards I saw were certainly NOT diversity hires. I did some research and read that his security consists of at least 20 guards and a Medical professional. What back ground would you suggest his guards come from? How does the Secret Service accept outside armed guards when in proximity to a person they are protecting? What kind of weapons could a non government guard or guards carry or have available? How is weapons carry worked out when a private citizen travels from State to State or Country to country with there own security team and there own plane, car, ship?

They don't.
Anything that's legal for them to possess, which may be limited further by any licensing requirements.
Current and retired police officers are often sought after for these types of jobs for this very reason.

It must be a logistical nightmare for a armed security detail to travel from State to State, country to country.

Country to country, yes. Less so from state to state, for former cops under LEOSA.

I used to own a business that was quasi similar in nature, but we pretty much stayed here in Missouri and/or Illinois (which was way worse back then). I considered us professional babysitters, and anybody armed was a current LEO. We were sometimes secondary to our customer's security if they had anybody that traveled with them. I would imagine a guy like Musk could have his attorneys set up a company, obtain the necessary insurance, and get his guys licensed in every state if he wanted.

Staring back from the abyss |
I would imagine that there are many former spec ops fellas on these details, and I would not imagine that they give two shits about the local gun laws. Does anyone really think that Officer Friendly is going to arrest a member of Musk's security detail? ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." State or local PD, maybe not. But if AG Merritt Garland (gag, puke) got wind of this, he'd send US Marshalls, FBI, and ATF after them. The libs HATE Elon Musk.

Speaking of libs hating Elon (and admittedly off-topic), is Elon a United States citizen? I ask because I've read that Olbermann wants Elon kicked out. Wikipedia (for what that's worth) reports Elon became a citizen in 2002. So, Keith... you want a U.S. citizen tossed out because he makes use of the First Amendment (and happens to disagree with you)? God bless America.

Wait, what? |
The leftist machine hates Musk for obvious reasons and we all know what it is. As to his reach, he is NOT hated by the next generation. He is a cult of personality favorite to most of the younger gen folks regardless of who their parents support for his cars, his involvement in space (starlink, exploration, talk of Mars colonization, etc) and his general “cool factor”. I believe the left recognizes this and is terrified he will lead their next generation away from leftist ideals. He is, in fact, already doing just that. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

If Elon Musk's traveling security people have current LEOSA certification, that would give them some flexibility in being legally armed in the various states and jurisdictions. This would not be unlimited like Federal agents of course, to include DEI hires, but at least some flexibility in these matters.. NRA Life
