My Google-fu has failed me. The blower motor on my Quadra-Fire wood stove fireplace insert is making noise. I've taken the motor out and cleaned it, but the noise is unbearable as it's in the same room as our TV. I have the part # for the Huayi motor, but I can't seem to find one anywhere. Well, I can find the entire squirrel cage assembly and motor at fireplace stores for the bargain price of $330.

I found one that was kind of close on Grainger, but it's a FASCO and I'm not 100% sure its a direct replacement.
FASCO on Grainger

Complete unit on Hearthside I only need the motor.

I've already taken the unit completely apart, cleaned it and re-assembled.

I can't find any distributor of Huayi motors. If I find one I might even buy a couple of them.

This is what I need, with the part # sticker on it. Anyone know of a distributor of Huayi? It's a 3.3" motor, 2900 RPM, 110V.

A trip to China is going to cost a lot more than $337!

What's the "unbearable noise?" Bearing failure, vibration, fan rubbing the housing, other? Perhaps focusing on what is causing the noise might reveal a more expedient repair path?

Its dust/ash in the bearings. I run the stove for about 20 hours per day for 6+ months per year.

Fer shitsngiggles I googled the motor, several options for third party suppliers come up, also if you put Quadrafire blower motor into Amazon there are pages of motors, having the stove model number wood narrow it down...

Do you have an electrical motor repair shop in your area, they might be able to change the bearing.

There are a huge number of Quadrafire models. I actually purchased the one listed in the Amazon link you posted. I have it all boxed up ready to return to Amazon. That one from Amazon is "clocked" wrong. It wouldn't be a problem, except the plastic squirrel cages use some type of weird locknut to attach them to the shafts. Mine has the standard metal cage with an allen setscrew. I was able to get my cages off, but not the plastic ones on the new unit. I was worried I'd destroy the cages so I am returning the unit.

Funny you mention rebuilding it. I had a friend whose father owned such a shop. I had him rebuild a starter about 10 years ago. 5 or 6 years ago he sold the business. The new owners closed the retail portion of the shop. That is a good idea though, I'll see if I can find another.

This is another reason why I miss yellow pages. You used to be able to search the yellow pages for what you want. It's still possible using the iterwebz, but if it's some small, old time business they may not have a web presence. Sigh.

Did you figure something out? I'm in the same boat, I don't want to pay $337 for a little motor. My motor is loud, I think it's the bearings. I took it all apart and can't take it apart any more to get to the bearings. I have the same model number and motor as your picture for my Quadrafire Voyager Grand. Can't find anything reasonable online. It's comforting that I'm not the only one with this issue. Thanks Goat!

I was able to get the one from amazon to work. Going from memory here, but I had a helluva time getting the squirrel cages out, but finally figured it out. Then I was able to clock it to the correct position. Once I was able to determine it worked correctly I ordered 3 "backups". They are sitting on my shelf. I usually get about 3 or 4 years out of each one.

I actually started using my wood stove for the season about 2 weeks ago. I took the motor out and blew all the dust/ash out of it. I try to do that again about half way through the season. I can confirm 100% the below unit works.

So it may not be as universal for home stuff, but automation direct has most parts commercial equipment is made from.
