Aw, hell. I hadn't seen that one. Funny as hell. She is one of those people that just went there.
I could always just barely stand her style of humor, but this performance is great.
Will miss her rude take on humor.
Kind of reminds me of Rodney Carrington.

Belly laugh at that one.

And she was good when language had to be controlled (50-60-70s). Makes you sad to realize her demise was too early.

Yes. That was great.

Two weeks before she died, she said something else that no one would say publicly...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

That was outstanding. I think I like old comedy better than the new stuff.

Thanks for the laugh.

About one year prior to her passing, I had the opportunity to work a security detail at a venue in our jurisdiction where she was appearing. Ms. Rivers had the mouth of a drunken sailor. However, she was a "people" person with a big heart. She was also very personable and considerate of the officers assigned to the detail. After the show there were patrons who had paid a premium fee to meet-and-greet her close-up. All the while there others waiting further back, hoping just to say "Hello" to her. Despite a tight schedule and having to board a bus for an upcoming show in New York, Ms. Rivers walked beyond the rope line and conversed and took photos with those who could not afford to pay extra to meet her. She stayed until each and every person who had been waiting had the opportunity to have a photo taken with her. I think that is part of why she was so successful.....she treated her fans so well. Class act.
