Since Antifa's big day of craziness is coming Eek I figured I'd add some cameras.
Well above the garage hits most of my driveway and backyard. In the soffit there was an exhaust vent for an old whole house vacuum that does not work.
So I lopped the inside pipe off and gives me access to the garage for the cat5 cable.
But I needed someway to mount the camera to the exhaust which looks like this

So I bought a nylon cutting board from WalMart for $1.88 and cut it to match the bottom of the camera bracket then mounted that to the wall plate using the 2 screws.
The cutting board should not interfere with anything and actually made a pretty nice seal.
You can see the cutting board between the camera and wall plate.

One day maybe I'll figure out how to post videos and I'll get some cam stuff up.

You get two kudos from me.

One for doing a professional looking installment and another for repurposing an unused object.

Nicely done!

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
