If You’re a Baseball Fan, at all, You Should Turn On the CWS Tonight
Especially to watch LSU starting pitcher, Paul Skenes. I love the College World Series, and have watched a lot of pitchers that went on to pitch in the Majors. Kyle Petersen just said he has walked 19 guys, and struck out…either 204 or 240 (couldn’t quite make it out). He throws 100 mph and has control like Greg Maddox.

Best CWS in years. I've seen the better part of at least 6-7 games.

BTW, the Wake Forest starter is no slouch either, and WF was the #1 seed to the CWS. The winner of this game faces Florida in the Championship Series.

Agreed, best CWS ever, regardless what happens from here on out. I am glued to the boobtube now!!!
Having Rocket Clemons in with some commentary was amazing. They should of had him in the booth too!!!

Briefly, LSU has made the trip to Omaha many times, especially in the Skip Bertman years. LSU baseball fans came to enjoy coming to Omaha so much that a lot of them make the trip to Omaha, whether the Tigers are in the CWS or not. That sort of thing makes me a LSU fan.

And LSU and Wake are the only teams to be ranked #1 this season.

That was a very good game. Very high quality pitching.

Score 0 to 0..... Bottom of the 11th inning ....2 run home run.....LSU wins/LSU wins/LSU wins.... drill sgt.

Minacci comes in and throws 1 pitch. Boom, game over. He will never forget that. Sucks for Wake.

Yeah, as an ACC fan, I'm bummed for Wake Forest, but what a game! WF showed that a team can hit the snot out of the ball, weak flares, and grounders and it pretty much was right at an LSU defender over and over and over.
Not being an SEC fan, I've no rooting interest anymore, so less appealing to me, but still, legendary CWS.

Heck of a pitchers dual.
Both starting pitchers were fantastic, LSU's had amazing control considering the high velocity, saw a flash stat where he through 46 100 MPH pitches in his last game. He also broke the strike out record for the SEC in last nights game.

The hug lasted but a few seconds, but in those few seconds, hearts melted. It was a brief moment that brought classy congratulations to one player and classy comfort to the other.
It was late last night when Wake Forest's Camden Minacci delivered his first pitch to LSU's Tommy White- the College World Series game was scoreless in the 11th inning- the winner would advance to the championship finals against Florida.
Minacci delivered a breaking ball right down main street, and White slammed a 2-run home run to give LSU the win.
And right there in the middle of madness came that brief tender moment. Tommy White of LSU sought out Minacci to console him, while Camden Minacci of Wake Forest- in his pain- sought out White to congratulate him.
It was a classy move for the winner to comfort the losing pitcher.
It was a classy move for the losing pitcher to congratulate a player who had just hit a game-winning home run off him.
What a moment it was: Two classy gestures from two classy young men.
Two classy gestures that showed the world what sportsmanship is all about.
