Ex-Chicago Area Teacher in ICE Custody, Awaiting Deportation for Role in 2024 Southwest Side Mass Shooting
Giovanna Moreno Occhipinti is accused of driving two alleged Tren de Aragua members to the shooting and helping them evade police, DHS said.


Giovanna Mercedes Moreno Occhipinto, a 32-year-old former Illinois teacher and undocumented Venezuelan immigrant, was arrested in May 2026 for her involvement in a December 2024 mass shooting in Chicago that killed three and injured several others.
Occhipinto allegedly drove two gunmen, Ricardo Granadillo Padilla and Edward Martinez Cermeno, to the shooting location, carried weapons in her car, and helped them evade law enforcement after the attack.
Chicago police arrested Occhipinto on December 5, 2024, for unlawful use of weapons but released her without notifying ICE due to sanctuary city policies; Cook County prosecutors declined to pursue charges.
Occhipinto remains detained awaiting deportation while Department of Homeland Security officials criticize Illinois's sanctuary practices.

Well, I guess there is no accounting for taste. I can understand her working for gangs, but really the New York Yankees at. That’s just that’s ground for deportation right there.

They won't even prosecute for murder/accessory to murder. Crazy. And people like that are teaching Chicago residents children.

IIRC- she drove the shooters to the party, they lit the place up, tossed the guns back in the car, walked away and left her behind. Poor girl caught a round in her leg during the shooting- the round came from one of her friends!
She took an Uber to a place in Cicero. Uber driver came forward and let us know. She was talking about the shooting the whole time on her phone in Spanish, driver was Mexican and spoke fluent Spanish.

Pink Cocaine, Pineapple Rum and stupid sunglasses all over the place in the crime scene.

This shooting was a retaliation hit because some DJ got killed in Venezuela.

I was the second one on the scene.
It’s hard to explain, but the chaos just makes sense.

She hobbled down the block south (59th Place), not dressed for the weather, nice neighbors brought her in their house to warm up, where she called the uber. Uber driver figured out she was involved in some shit, he returned to the scene and talked to us. She was bitching in the uber on the phone to the shooters and that they shot her.

Two shooters dropped their guns in the car across the street from the house, walked east on 59th street, then disappeared. We figured out who she was pretty quickly, the other two shooters not too long after.

Her just getting deported, the media burying the fact that everyone was illegal imports from Venezuela, the general state of apathy here in Chicago to (yet another) mass shooting from said illegal imports… if I let it bother me, Id go crazy.

Apparently, it’s what society- at least the society around here, wants. They ask for it when they vote, and vote and vote for the same thing over and over.
Who am I to argue with them?

CPDSig, work the crime scenes, make arrests, file the reports, stay safe until retirement and then run like hell from the state……..until then, just in case, have a red state Go-Bag ready.
