The Mustang was introduced on today's date in 1964. I was a junior in high school and I don't remember any in the school prior to my graduation. A friend had a yellow convertible with a 4 speed 260, but it was a Falcon.

I think it was summer 1964 my father bought a 1964 1/2 white 260 Mustang V8 3speed in the floor. It had red interior & bucket seats. I do not think the 260 had a 4 speed as the 289 with 4 speed came out soon. A TN Highway Patrolman pulled up beside me at a stop light & asked if I wanted to drag race out of the light. __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Lots of Iconic Mustangs over the years, GT350, GT500, the latest generation has the look and the HP that none other has had. Still if I had to pick, 68 Fastback 2+2,

A friend's dad owned a Ford Dealership in Portland OR and the 17 y.o. got a Mustang convertible to drive to H.S. I had a Pontiac Tempest 215 six with 3-in-the-tree... lol ________________________________________________________ The trouble with trouble is; it always starts out as fun.

Timely, I just read an article about the possibility of a 2026 Mustang Raptor Cheaper alternative to the 911 Dakar or Huracan Sterrato, I suppose The Enemy's gate is down.

Thank you Very little |
Cheaper, but not Cheap LOL The limited run of off-road Mustangs should start around $90,000, expect to pay more for mudflaps.

My other Sig is a Steyr. |
The fender stickers that were a reject from the Bronco are tolerable, but the J.C. Whitney light bar looks like shit. Raptor Mustang? Why not? Seems the Mustang has already been everything else... Just wait till we see how bad they'll screw up the 4 cylinder Corvette SUV.

Bought a new 1966 Mustang notchback in 1966, then was sent to Johnston Island for 3 months. Car was delivered in SE Arizona and my dad broke it in for me. He was heavy footed and I could hardly keep it under 80 on the road! Sold it in Iran in 1971 and bought a new Pinto when I came back to US. In the 1990s I bought a rebuilt 1966 notchback (289 with dual exhausts, but auto trans) and still have it. Now looking to sell it, though. My Daily Driver is a 2006 Mustang. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth
