You guys are dredging up memories of my 1950's "semi-automatic" style cap pistol. I was "The Man" amongst my buddies with their revolvers. I don't remember much about it as far as looks or manufacturer. I DO remember the damned thing was a Jam-O-Matic compared to the revolvers. Maybe that was a harbinger of what was to come in the real world of semi-automatics! On the other hand, maybe I should have just tried different brands of caps until I found one that my gun liked. The only problem being that we only had one store around that carried them - and only one brand. The end result was I went from being "The Cool Man' to playing the role of "The Dead Man" on account of not being able to shoot back when I was challenged to a draw. I coulda wrote that song called, "I Miss Billy the Kid" | |||
