Any recommendations for an online source for 1/8” or 1/4” thick hardwood, quality plywood. Not looking for a full 4x8’ sheet. A half or quarter sheet would address. I have looked on Rockler and Woodcraft websites. Alternatively if someone has a recommendation in the DFW area, I am within driving distance. Thanks Bill Gullette

Bill, they have half and quarter boards at the Lowe’s and home despot here in Temple…. You could also find if they have a full sheet of what you need and have them cut it down for you. I’ve done that in the past and they didn’t charge me for the cuts. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. While I guess it's possible I don't see how it would be economical to buy something like this online. Additionally, I always like to hand select or inspect anything I use especially for high quality projects. Like Mike said HD and Lowes can cut it down for you and I have seen some good finishing plywood available there. If not look around locally for woodworkers that could sell you some of their stock. Woodcraft and Rockler mainly has solid hardwoods as far as I remember. Good Luck

Contact a couple custom millwork/cabinetry shops in your area and ask them for suggestions. You might even run across a shop that would be willing to piggyback what you need on one of their orders. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I don't know if it is still the case, but Rockler used to carry very nice birch plywood with lots of thin plies in the stores, even though it wasn't listed online. If there's one in DFW, try calling the store. There's bound to be a real lumber or hardwoods store in DFW with birch plywood.

Very true, esp. for plywood pieces. With the advent of "dimension weight" shipping for all parcels, a piece with any dimension of 4' is really going to cost you, regardless of the actual weight. Buy local if at all possible. When in doubt, mumble
